(Homeschoolers of Otsego, Plainwell, Etc.)
The goal of HOPE (Homeschoolers of Otsego, Plainwell, Etc.) is to provide support to homeschoolers in the Otsego/Plainwell area. HOPE provides rookie homeschooling moms mentoring relationships with veteran moms, an opportunity for everyone to share struggles and victories, and support for all who attend. It is a place where parents can be real and feel encouraged by other homeschool parents, whether they are new to homeschooling or experienced. This is done by meeting monthly, planning occasional field trips and parties, sharing upcoming events, and praying for each other. Monthly meeting topics vary as well as locations, but we primarily meet on the second Tuesday of each month at Northbridge Community Church on Douglas Ave. just north of D Ave. While meetings are primarily for parents, a couple of family events are planned throughout the year.
Visitors are always welcome at the HOPE meetings. However, we encourage membership in order to build a solid community of homeschoolers in our area. Membership costs $5 and can be paid to either Jodi or Caryn.
